The very first trailer of superhero movie The Wolverine was released yesterday through a tweaser on Twitter via Vine The tweaser was tweeted by the director of the movie James Mangold. This is a big leap from the current modern sources of releasing a trailer like movie's website and YouTube. It seems as if the Hollywood has also realized that nothing leaves the people craving for more like a 6 second long Vine Video.
The 6 second long Wolverine Tweaser includes brief scenes of swordplay, love, claws, Wolverine flying through the air, gun fight and samurais. No words are spoken, no titles are shown except the logo of the film in the end, which is just perfect for a video as short as this one. Releasing the first video clip of the movie via Vine is a brilliant idea.

This is one of the best example of how a brand can use Twitter's Vine App to promote its product.
The 6 second long movie, ability to retweet and the fact that Vine videos play within the tweets implies that a tweaser can reach the masses very quickly. Many people after watching a complete trailer may end up deciding against watching the movie, however, a Vine video just increases the curiosity of people.
It will not come as a surprise if more and more trailers and product launch videos are first released on Vine and then on other channels.
