Google has launched Google +1 button, which is like the Facebook Like button. It will help the consumers find out if a particular page has been liked by their friends too. If a user is signed in to his Google account, he marks this +1 button for a page, then, while his friends are searching the same category of pages, they will be able to see the annotations suggesting who all liked that page.
This could be a tool for Google to find out which all pages have the quality content and which all don’t. More +1, means more quality content. This could well be a parameter for page ranking.
How will it affect the user?
This will help the user to save time while searching for a particular service, he will be able to straightaway go to the link in search results which has maximum annotations. More importantly, having annotation on a page means the page has been searched and recommended.
