Google AdWords has embedded Google Audio Ads into its interface to simplify radio advertising or even get specialist help in creating your own radio ads. For this new serbice, Google has tied up with Clear Channel.

According to the press release, “This agreement complements an existing online advertising partnership in which Google provides text ads to Clear Channel's radio-station Web sites through the company's Online Music & Radio Unit”.

Eric Schmidt, Chief Executive Officer of Google said, "Clear Channel is the market leader in delivering radio value to consumers and advertisers and has built an innovative platform to manage its on-air ad inventory, We look forward to working with Clear Channel Radio by providing a unique set of advertisers and a system that will increase the effectiveness and measurability of connecting advertisers with radio listeners."

A user at Webmaster World writes "I have been running a national campaign for about 2 weeks now. I am very impressed with how Google has set this up. The reporting is top notch. You get an email in the morning telling you when your ads a scheduled to run and then throughout the day you can see when the ad actually ran. Seems to be very targeted so far, been getting a ton of plays on stations across the country (US). Just like with anything else, the less you spend the worse the ads are. When I lower the cpm I end up with a lot of ads in Alaska between 1am and 3am. but I’m ok with that for testing purposes. I would recommend this product.”
