AOL is out with their top searches for the year 2006. They have categorized the searches into three classes namely 'overall search', 'people search' and 'video search'. Top three searches in 'overall search' category are weather, dictionary and dogs. American idol was the flavor of the year, on small screen as well as online, as it has successfully grabbed the fourth position in the 'overall search' category.
Paris Hilton gives everyone a run for their money. She has been the most searched in the 'people search' section, leaving behind Britney Spears in the sixth position and Lindsay Lohan in the tenth position. The top three searches in the 'video search' category are ipod, 50 cent and BMW. Paris Hilton successfully made it to the eighth position in the same list, closely followed by Chris Brown and Britney Spears on the ninth and the tenth position.
