Google announced three new reports for deeper insights in automated bid strategies performance. These reports will give transparency into bidding and save time spent in troubleshooting the performance issues.
New status annotations will help advertisers enhance bid strategy statuses with more insight to help decide the course of action.
Google said: “if a strategy is still in “Learning” status because you recently created it or changed the composition of its campaigns, we will display the estimated “days left for learning”. This indicates that the bidding algorithms are still calibrating and how much longer you should wait before making any other changes or evaluating what baseline performance looks like.”
If a bid strategy is set to “Limited (bid limits)” due to minimum or maximum constraints, Google will show the percentage of impressions or spend limited to help advertisers understand extent of the performance impact.
Status over time reporting maps bid strategy statuses along the bottom of the performance graph, explaining the factors influencing the bid strategy performance for the chosen date range.
Target Over time reporting maps historical targets over performance data providing better context.
Both these report options are available for the advertisers in the Shared Library.
