Bing has announced the launch of Klout-verified Snapshot. Microsoft tied-up with Klout last year in order to integrate Klout influencers with Bing social results and the launch of Klout-verified Snapshot has taken the relationship to a new level.
Snapshots feature, introduced last year contains useful information about places, people, or certain topics so that visitors get quick information at a glance in small box.
The new Klout-verified Snapshot feature will let users who sign up to verify themselves and manage how they will appear in Bing search results. The basis of appearance would be public portions of their Twitter and LinkedIn profiles.
The Klout-verified Snapshot will display your:
- Klout score
- Public LinkedIn summary
- Influential topics on Klout
- Links to social profiles connected on Klout
- Most influential public moments on Twitter and Instagram
How to Enable Klout-verified Snapshot?
You need to register for Klout and connect it to your LinkedIn profile. The second step would be signing up for Snapshot on Klout. After the sign up, you can tag yourself in Bing search results. This action will perform a search for your name and let you select the results mentioning your name.
Celebrities Don't Have to Apply
Search engines usually have reserved side-columns to display results about celebrities and well-known personalities. The Klout-verified snapshot will let users take a control on how the celeb information is appearing in search results. This will certainly make Bing a more relevant engine for search individuals.
