While Google has quietly added up to ten sitelinks instead of 4 or 6 for a navigation query, Microsoft Bing has formally announced the changes in the way webmasters will be allowed to manage deep links in search results.

Bing Introduces Changes in Deep Links Management!

The Senior Program Manager at Bing Webmaster Tools, Vincent Wehren on the Bing Webmaster blog told that they have updated the Deep Links management feature to make it more useful for webmasters. In order to manage "deep links", webmasters can access following features:

  • Block deep link in a specific region/country
  • Block deep link URL from showing up anywhere with single action
  • Deep link blocks will expire after 90 days
  • There will be no more limitations to information about deep links
