Bing recently made an announcement about the modifications to the search home page. This includes a new HD quality daily background image, enhancements and improvements in image captions and ways to personalize the news at the lower end plus quick links to Microsoft Office Tools.
The new home page images are of high definition quality with a 1920 x 1o80 pixel screen display.
New image captions also enable users to move the mouse over the Info button to show the new image caption and click to know more or even download images to use as desktop wallpaper.
Users can now customize the bottom trending topics carousel with only those issues and themes that of interest to them. This can be done at the following link.
As per the Bing official blog, “People generally like the carousel of trending topics at the foot of the Bing homepage, but many ask how it could reflect their interests a little more. You can customize your experience to follow news, stocks, weather, or even track a flight right from the Bing homepage. Learn how at https://www.bing.com/profile/interests.
The carousel can now be completely minimized as well. The size and motion of the Bing Homepage can also be controlled in the following manner, according to the blog: “start with the settings gear to customize those elements. High-definition homepage images are big so we leave them off by default in some markets where average internet speeds are slower. If you’re not seeing full HD, you can switch it on in Settings.”
The top header bar now contains the quick links to the Office Online suite.
More can now be done with Office Online and productivity tools oft the Office Online can now be easily accessed.
While the new HD image and image caption as well as Office Online menu can be had in all markets now, HD homepage will appear automatically in most markets, otherwise it may be switched on through Settings.Bing Gives a Makeover to Home Page with High-Definition Images, New Captions & Features!,
