Browser Security Handbook By Google!

Jan 3, 2009 | 724 views | by Navneet Kaushal

Google recently published a Browser Security Handbook that provides a very good view about the workings of a browser and even the minute details of security that one should be aware of. After all, a book is a book!

Google says: “This document is meant to provide web application developers, browser engineers, and information security researchers with a one-stop reference to key security properties of contemporary web browsers. Insufficient understanding of these often poorly-documented characteristics is a major contributing factor to the prevalence of several classes of security vulnerabilities.”

Certainly a gift for the web users to get rid of all those malware and other ghosts that are present in the system. Make sure you particularly read the section on CSS and javascript.

That page looks informative, gonna check it. Surprised that even Opera is there (as G tends to ignore it).

Thanks
