As a “Fall Cleaning” drive, Google has announced that it is pulling the curtain down on a few more of its services. The latest made to retire services include: AdSense for Feeds, Places Directory, Google Storage and Classic Plus. Places Directory is an Android app for local search and Classic Plus allowed people to attach a background image on Google Homepage. As Google says, “Technology offers so many opportunities to help improve users' lives. This means it is really important to focus or we end up doing too much with too little impact. So today we're winding down a bunch more features-bringing the total to nearly 60 since we started our 'spring' clean last fall."
Google has announced a number of improvements in the AdSense reporting features. At the same time, the search engine giant has revealed the findings of a new research highlighting the benefits of ‘smart pricing. The research highlights the fact that publishers make more money with “smart pricing”. This happens even if their earning per-click is discounted as compared with search ads.
Improvements to AdSense reporting features
Google has updated the AdSense payment page with a new design, improved navigation and more flexibility with the payment settings. As Google said, "We’ll soon be introducing some changes to the “Payments” and “Account settings” pages in your AdSense account. Google has decided to do away with its old AdSense version in November.
They have already been working for sometime now to enhance the new AdSense interface, focusing on developing features that expose AdSense publishers to additional insights, control, and efficiency.
Besides, there are some features available exclusively in the new interface, such as reporting by country and platform, multi-dimension reporting, and search functionality in the Ad review center.
Google also recently came up with top requested features that included viewing channels on the Home tab and creating scheduled reports. The search engine player says that it was in response to the feedback of AdSense publishers on features from the old AdSense interface version that they desired to see in the new version.
