ZD Net reports Microsoft is losing the battle for gaining high percentage of search engine users.

Microsoft, though still in third position, fell to 9 %, compared to last month's 10.1 %. Microsoft was followed by AOL on 4th place with 5.4 % (compared to last month's 5.8) and Ask.com maintained a 1.8% hold on the Search Engine share.

On Friday, Microsoft Corp. declared it would purchase aQuantive, Inc. for a sum of $66.50 per share. A sum of $6 Billion will be paid to aQuantive Inc in an all-cash transaction. Microsoft Corp though interested in 24/7 Real Media – which was purchased by WPP – saw more in aQuantive.

Liveside reports Microsoft has an improved version of Live Search called Imagine Live Search.

Unlike the original version, with Imagine Live Search, search results are different too. Imagine Live Search has more information including images (including information about the image), a section called try other searches and related searches to name a few.

Other Interent Search providers already have similar versions like Yahoo Alpha, Ask's Ask X and Google SearchMash.

Microsoft has launched a gaming site called Live Search Club that features classic games like Flexicon , Clink , Dingbats and Leaderboard.

A user at Windows Live reacts "OMG! Microsoft, get your head out of your behinds! Especialy you Bill! You guys are doing nothing. Instead of offering your cruddy Zune for a game, how about working on your OS? They really are messing up."
