Google brings celebrities to frequently answer questions asked about themselves.

When you put in a query about one of the celebrities out there, the search result comes in form of a selfie-style video of the concerned celebrity, answering the popular query.

Videos are placed into the search results and pop up automatically on conducting the search. They initially play without sound. On tapping, they expand to fill the screen and play along with sound.

Google is, as of now, testing the scheme before introducing it more widely with well-known personalities as well as rising stars. The group includes:

  • Priyanka Chopra
  • Will Ferrell
  • Tracee Ellis Ross
  • Gina Rodriguez
  • Kenan Thompson
  • Allison Williams
  • Nick Jonas
  • Mark Wahlberg
  • James Franco

  • Dominique Ansel

Google admits that the company plans to roll out this feature and add more of these videos over the next few months.

At present, the self-shot celebrity Q&A video feature is only available in the US search results on mobile phones.
