According to a recent report by Brian Morrissey at Adweek, ESPN is all set to drop Yahoo! Contextual Ads from Espn.com. Instead, ESPN will embark on using Quigo AdSonar. Quigo AdSonar is an auction-based, content-targeted advertising network which helps premium-branded websites as well as their advertisers make connection with customers to deliver superior results. AdSonar incorporates in generating an efficient marketplace by bringing good contents from publishers and advertisers.

With Quigo AdSonar advertisers will be able to connect customers via keywords and ESPN.com specific channels like soccer, football or any fantasy sport. Moreover, Quigo AdSonar is expected to work at par with Google AdWords or Yahoo Search Marketing. With ESPN's new venture with Quigo AdSonar, sites are bound to keep all revenue besides maintaing a good rapport with advertisers.

ESPN wil only drop Yahoo Contextual Ads from ESPN.com. So, there is no need to panic. Yahoo and ESPN.com are still enjoying a strong search engine partnership where Yahoo provides Yahoo Search Technology powered organic search results and Yahoo Search Marketing Sponsored Links in searches performed on ESPN.com-adds Brian Morrissey.
