Facebook has updated it content policy to allow verified profiles to share branded content on Facebook. The announcement was made in a blogpost.

"Today we’re excited to announce that Verified Profiles can now share branded content on Facebook. We know that public figures with Verified Profiles — including athletes, musicians, bloggers, comedians, and more — want ways to monetize their content on Facebook. We hope that with today’s update, public figures on Verified Profiles gain an incentive to share more quality content — of all kinds — with their fans."

In April 2016 Facebook had enabled Verified pages to extend their sponsorship onto Facebook. They further said that that Branded Content Policy has been updated, and the substance of the policy has not changed. The branded content tool will work the same for Verified Profiles as it does for Pages.
