Facebook has succeeded in marking its dominance in the social network arena in 2013 also. It was the most dominant network in 127 of the 137 countries on Vincos Blog's World Map of Social Networks in the December 2013 edition. The number remained the same in June 2013 edition also.

According to Vincos Blog, Facebook lost the top spot in Kyrgyzstan but took over Maktoob for number one place in Syria. vKontakte and Odnoklassniki still have control on the Russian territories while QZone is facing a threat in China by the instant messaging applications Weixin/WeChat and QQ International.

While Cloob is still ranking highest in Iran, Facebook has limited reach due to censorship.
