Facebook has a good news for page owners, the social media giant has announced new features to help page owners promote their events and see how well they are performing.

Every month, 400 million people across the globe connect with friends and discover events taking place in their communities. Nearly 30% of these events including community events, concerts as well as special nights at restaurants and bars are created by Facebook pages.

Give Events a Boost

In a few days, pages will be able to create ads for mobile as well as desktop News Feed to boost the awareness of events and drive responses. Previously, these ads were

only displayed in the right-hand column of the desktop column.

Facebook has now allowed Page owners across the globe to create event response ads in both the Power Editor and Ad Create tool.

Event insights

Facebook has now officially announced event hosts can now view insights shown in the right-hand column of an event page. These insights display:

  • People who have only seen a link to the event on Facebook
  • Users who have actually viewed the event
  • The number of joins, saves and maybes received by the event

Highlighting Events

In addition to the enhancements, Facebook has also redesigned the event page for improving the events experience for people on Facebook. Each user’s events page has a new look and feel for highlight their upcoming events and showcasing new events in a better way. Facebook has also included suggested events for users based on the Pages they like, the day of the week as well as their location.
