Facebook has announced the creation of a new platform that will let advertisers create ads themselves and impact their potential customers more easily.
Announced in the Facebook for Business News section, Facebook has told that advertisers approached the social network with the need to create ad on the basis of their goal or objective & not on the basis of the type of ad that would be displayed. Facebook has also identified the objectives, which are crucial for the business advertisers. These include:
- Clicks to Website
- Page Likes
- Website Conversions
- Page Post Engagement
- App Installs
- App Engagement
- Event Responses
- In-store Offer Claims
Adopting the objective approach, Facebook is now letting advertisers to create their campaigns on the basis of what they want to accomplish. The new platform will then help the advertisers in deciding how they want to serve their advertisements. For example, they can create an ad for the smartphone so that the user directly goes to the mobile site instead of the full desktop versions, which is not properly optimized for mobile phones.
Advertisers will also be able to view the performance of the ad on the basis of the campaign they chose. In case, they chose website conversion, the metrics shown in the analytics will be the website conversions. This will reduce the chances of confusion and help advertisers in finding out the most suited or say important metric for the online advertising efforts.
