Facebook has renamed its mobile application feature "Nearby" as "Local Search". Nearby was introduced as a friend-finder tool wherein users could search for specific places, browse categories, and give rating. The feature soon became a way to find local business recommendations.
Many users who are still unaware of the change in functionality of the tool will get a hint with the name change.
