Facebook is now making it easier for restaurants worldwide to add their menus to their Facebook page. Businesses in the US and Canada can upload menus through SinglePlatform from email marketing provider Constant Contact. Single Platform is an online listings service, helping local businesses connect and engage with consumers by displaying their menus, products and services, photos and more.

Facebook Allows Restaurants to Upload Menus to Their Pages

Those who stay outside of the US and Canada or are not working with SinglePlatform can upload a PDF of their menu. To add a menu to your page:

  • Click on the Edit Page option
  • Select Update Page Info
  • Click on Menu and upload your menu in the PDF format
  • Save the Changes

If you want to edit your current restaurant menu, you can send an email to with information on:

  • The name of your restaurant
  • URL of your restaurant's Facebook Page
  • A link to the correct menu or an attachment (.doc or .pdf) of the correct menu

Your menu will be updated within two business days. Businesses already had the option to add address and hours of operation to their Facebook page, so the addition of menu comes as a significant development. However, restaurants could achieve the same thing by posting a photo of their menu on their Facebook page. But there are high chances that by enabling restaurants to upload their menus now, Facebook might be planning to give way to direct ordering from the page itself in the future. Whatever the case may be, as of now it will be interesting to find out how this development affects the online restaurant guides like Zomato, Yelp and others.

  • This is a great news! It is likely to increase exposures to the restaurants or businesses that upload their profiles and photos on Facebook. Hopefully, this feature would be extended to businesses in countries other than US and Canada!

Good thing Facebook added this to their condiments, a lot of people, and foodies like to try famous restaurants, but are a bit worried about the price, with this feature people will be able to look into a restaurant menu and do a price check before barging in and ordering a lot,

Well the menu on the restaurant itself may have a price list, but your pockets have got to be ready.

    Just my thought,

    Have a good day!
