Facebook has announced the roll-out of revamped page insights with some new features. The team was testing revamped page insights with selected page administrators since June and on the basis of the feedback received, changes have been made to the newly rolled-out metric.

The newly introduced revamped page insights will display page tags, people engaged (including unique users who have clicked, liked, shared, or commented on the post), page mentions, page check-ins, and other interactions with pages.

There will be however no change in the way PTAT is displayed on pages and the PTAT statistics will be available to page admins via application programming interface and old exports.

Facebook has also re-named its virality metric as engagement rate and has also added clicks to the measurement.

Each post will now have a post-specific scorecard that will reflect metrics for positive and negative interactions. The positive interactions include likes, shares, clicks, and comments, while the negative ones are hide post, hide all posts, unlike page, and report as spam. Page admins will be able to analyze the positive and negative metrics for each post at the same time.

Page insights will also give more information about users who have engaged with pages' posts, thus helping admins in knowing their target audience better.

The new page insights export can be downloaded and page admins can also update their custom reporting template. However, the current export option is still available to admins.

Facebook has said that all the APIs associated with current page insights will be available, but it will be adding new APIs for metrics.

Facebook for Business post, which covered the news of launch of the new page insights also said: 

"We are still gathering feedback about page insights from page owners, and we would love to hear from you. If you have any thoughts about the new page insights, please select send feedback in the upper-right-hand corner of the interface, and let us know what you think".
