There have been significant updates, fluctuations, and shifts in the traffic and Google rankings over the last few days, leaving webmasters thinking of being hit by a Google update.
Google is however not confirming anything about the update but has said that over 500 changes in the algorithms within an year will surely result in fluctuations and ranking changes.
So, has an update happened?
With Google neither revealing nor accepting anything, it is difficult to figure out anything. But, discussions happening over Google Webmaster Help and Webmaster World are pointing towards ranking changes. If we look at the MozCast and SERPs.com, it is very much visible that more fluctuation has happened in the search results past week.
And if there was an update, was it:
- A Penguin update
- A Pandan refresh
- An algorithmic update
There is a chance that Google is testing an algorithm and that’s why only some of the webmasters are noticing it.
Matt Cutts in a Tweet has confirmed that Penguin update will take a couple of weeks to mark its presence in the market. We can't rule out the possibility of a Panda refresh as Google has stopped making announcements on Panda updates after the 25 version was launched.Have you felt a Google Update Of lately?
