After refreshing and revamping itself a time too many, Google Operating System Blog announces that Google video in its latest avatar has become Google video Search Engine.

This new video search engine shows results from other sites like YouTube, MySpace, Metacafe, BBC, Yahoo Video, Break.com, Daily Motion, Vimeo, Veoh, iFilm, Grouper, AOL Video, Jumpcut, Revver and Guba. Among the video portals YouTube has the highest with 42.5 million videos, followed by Yahoo Video (3 million), Google video (2.3 million) and MySpace with 2 million.

"All in all, Google Video wants to keep its visibility and to compensate for the lack of information about some of the videos, but ends up duplicating features that are already available at most video sites and cluttering the page. It's also much difficult to find the actual link to the original site. Of course, the related videos have a wider scope, while the "email this video" feature uses your Gmail address book."

Google Video Search Engine features some of the most hilarious to sensational videos. Some of the top picks are:

  1. Sneezing panda
  2. The silhouette of a woman showering
  3. South park
  4. Free running

So, go and rate whether you think the video deserves 5 stars or not.
