Google has added a resume and ribbon to the Google+ stream. The buttons will allow users to jump between newly added posts as well as where they have read up to on pressing the "New posts".

Earlier, the blue manual refresh button for posts used to let users load more, when they are ready to roll the fresh content into the stream. However, on clicking the "X new" button, while they were half down the page, the stream used to automatically reach the top of the new post leaving users searching for the point they were in the stream.

The latest addition i.e. "Resume" button will still bring the users to the top of the stream but they can carry on reading from the point they had left off. All they need to do is click on the button and they will be taken back down the stream.

The blue ribbon on the left will indicate the point where user had left off. They can click new posts button, scroll up & down, and the ribbon will update to a fresh point, where the user had read up to.

The new feature will work on the home stream, saved searches, and search queries.

Google has not officially announced the feature yet.
