Google's Knowledge Graph gets smarter with the addition of filters and a new way of comparing two Knowledge Graph items, side-by-side. The updates were a part of Google's 15th Birthday Celebration announcements.

Users can search for terms like "space needle versus empire state building" or "compare space needle with empire state building" on their desktops and mobile devices. Google will present basic points of comparison as search results.

Knowledge Graph Filters

Knowledge Graph filter is evident when you search for terms like "impressionist painters". The filter is present at the upper right side, above the result carousel. Searcher can switch to similar results for other artists also.

Google has revealed that more changes including "more unified design" for Google search on mobile devices and updated iOS search apps supporting cross-device notifications will be coming soon.
