Google announced that Display Search Ads will now be set to “Recommended bid” when a user selects the category while creating the ads.

These automated recommendations for bids save a lot of time if your are adding a large number of categories. “For example, if you have four categories selected: “sandals”, “running shoes”, “loafers”, and “flip flops,” you no longer have to manually set bids for each one. You can also adjust recommended bids or leave the field empty to use the ad group's default bid.”

These bid recommendations are based on the performance of the existing keywords targeting similar search queries and show for the accounts that have sufficient data.
