Google AdWords has introduced a new feature in its interface called: bulk editing. These tools will now make it possible to make large-scale changes in the account. This new feature will be extremely useful for advertisers who often need to make small changes in their campaigns. Google has revealed that this feature is available in a few accounts as of now for testing purposes and will roll out for all advertisers in the coming few weeks. Now advertisers can easily make changes in URLs, text or bids at every level, namely: keyword, ad group or ad or at the campaign level.
You can make these changes as easily as you search and replace a word in a document. Here is how Google shows this will be done:
When you are making changes, you can preview them prior to implementing them. In case of making many changes, you can let the feature run in the background as you do other stuff. There will be a progress bar to keep track of the changes moving towards completion and then you can easily review the changes after they are done. There will be other changes made to phase out features made redundant after this bulk editing feature. As Google says, “The “Edit” button will become an “Edit” drop-down menu. We’ll also be phasing out the “Edit in table” view since its multi-item editing capabilities will be far surpassed. Now when making a change to an individual campaign element, you can just click on it to enter editing mode.”
