A lot of conversations have centered on Penguin 3.0, the latest update from Google and its slow roll-out emanating over the last few weeks.

A huge spike was observed over Thanksgiving and Google confirmed it. On December 3rd, John Mueller from Google answered 2 queries pertaining to Penguin at a Google+ hangout.

  1. Penguin is currently rolling out still, John remarked in the video. He said it was rolling out and much caution is being exercised regarding this release by the team.
  2. John was asked if Google would provide formal notification when the rollout of Penguin was complete. He said he was not sure in response to this question He also shared that, "we're hoping that these things will keep updating." This could be an indication that the video will never completely end and continue to roll out.

Google hasn’t made any official announcement on this matter yet. As the time passes, we expect more hints related to Penguin 3.0 dropping-in.
