Google has announced two new billing changes for AdWords advertisers in India – Minimum Prepayment amount and Activation Fee.

Minimum Prepayment Amount

Google has increased the minimum prepayment amount from INR 120 to INR 500 for AdWords advertisers in India. According to Google, all the payments made through cheques or demand drafts must be at least INR 500, or they'll be unable to process the payment.

In case, you make payments through net banking then make sure you don't enter an amount less than INR 500 on your Make Payments page.

Therefore, if an advertiser wants to keep his ads running continuously then he'll have to make prepayment less frequently. It is believed that the increased amount will be adjusted against the customer's total budgeted amount. This change has been made to remove the common problem of small payments being used up very quickly.
