In September Google announced that from November 1st the web pages that show an app install interstitial hiding a significant amount of content will not considered mobile friendly.

The update went live on 2nd November. Google announced on Google+: “Starting today, pages with an app install interstitial that hide a significant amount of content on the transition from the search result page won’t be considered mobile-friendly.”

Google suggests, webmasters should use formats which are more user- friendly such as app install banners.
