Sometimes, a simple task like choosing a movie can get complex. You will have to fetch information from several places, which are often applications. You might decide to rely on IMDb, box office stats from Wikipedia, and ratings from other movie review sites.
From today, Google will save you from going through series of applications and get you at the place where you need to go in those apps, all this with a single search. Whether the information you need is on the web or in the application, Google Search will fetch the answers at one place.
Get There Faster
For example, you are getting ready for a holiday but unable to remember the name of the all time favorite, classic Christmas flick that you want to show to your children. You can use Google search to find the movie and know more about it through one of your favorite apps.
Find the Right App
At several instances, an application could get you better information than web search. If you want to explore downhill skiing, ask Google for downhill skiing applications and you will get a bunch of useful applications.
The new features will be rolling out on Android (via Google Search app or Chrome & Android browsers directly). At some instances, relevant app listings from Google Play will also appear in search. Initially, users will be able to search within selected number of application and more will be added over the coming months.Google Brings the Power of Search Across Apps!,
