Google has announced that it will be extending the availability of Top Search Queries data in Webmaster Tools from 90 days to one year.

There is as such no update on the duration from which the change will be applied.

Search Engine Land recently covered an article on the conflict between Google limiting the time period of data in Webmaster Tools but putting no limit for publishers importing the data into Google AdWords accounts.

And the news that we have covered today is in response to the article, wherein Google has also said, "We plan to provide a year’s worth of data in the Top Search Queries report in Webmaster Tools".

If you want to use AdWords to archive the data for a period longer than one year, you can use the new Paid & Organic report.

Once you have linked the AdWords account to Google Webmaster Tools, select "All Online Campaigns" and go to "Dimensions" tab. Change "View" to "Paid & Organic" and you will be able to see the search data with no one-year cutoff.
