Sistrix has analysed Google Fred Update. They analyzed 300 domains that lost visibility after Fred on March 13th 2017, on Google Germany, Spain, the UK, and the USA .
Sistrix say, “Nearly all losers were very advertisement heavy, especially banner ads, many of which were AdSense campaigns. Another thing that we often noticed was that those sites offered little or poor quality content, which had no value for the reader. It seem that many, but not all, websites are affected who tried to grab a large number of visitors from Google with low quality content, which they then tried to quickly and easily monetize through affiliate programs.”
Sistrix’s Juan Gonzalez conducted this study after the update was confirmed by Google. Here’s the Visibility Index of Freewarefiles.com on Google.com:
Juan has shared examples of the websites that lost 50%-almost 90% visibility because of Fred.
