Google Search, Google+, Mobile, and Maps are some of the great ways offered by Google to make local search easier. The Google Places for Business was yet another attempt by the search engine industry giant to deliver accurate, comprehensive, and updated information & help business owners manage their online presence.
Google has recently introduced the upgraded look & feel of Google Places for Business, which will be rolled out to business owners in the coming weeks.
Let's take a quick look at the new additions made by team Google.
The Look and Feel
Google has preferred to keep a consistent look across most of its products and Google Places is no exception. You will see separate tabs for Listing, Google+ page, AdWords Express, and Offers. The current dashboard has tab for basic stats & analytics, which is missing in the new look.
Better Integration with Google Products
The Google+ integration on dashboard will let you access your Google+ page and features like videos, photos, or posts. For local businesses without a Google+ account, the navigation tab will not be present on the dashboard.
The feature makes managing ads and promotions easier for businesses that use Google AdWords Express and Google Offers. They can directly check results and make edits from the new dashboard.
Google is claiming that most edits made via the upgraded dashboard will appear on Google Maps and its suite of other services within 48 hours.
There are certain other changes, not talked about in Google's announcement. For example; the new dashboard allows service area based businesses (like plumbing, electricians) to have their Google+ Local pages for the first time.
If you are a Google Places for Business user, an email notification will come to you once the account is upgraded. The moment you will sign in, you will see the new interface.Google Gives a New Look to Google Places for Business!,
