India got a superb gift from none other than Google on its 60th Independence Day. The new gift for innumerable Google users is the Google India Labs. Users will get to use this latest interface in a couple of days.

For the time being, there are two new products in the Google India Labs. They are Indic On-Screen Keyboard iGoogle Gadgets and Google Indic Transliteration. The first product, Indic On-Screen Keyboard is a iGoogle gadget. With this gadget users can compose search queries in any of the 14 Indian language that the application supports. Some of the languages supported by Indic On-Screen Keyboard are Hindi, Tamil, Sanskrit and Bengali. By using the mouse to select the appropriate letters of the alphabet, users can create search terms.

And this is not the end. With the help of the other product, Indic Transliteration, users can easily transliterate English words and phrases into Hindi phonetically. This tool has been available on Blogger for quite some time.
Indian Google Users will definitely like this new gift.
