Google will be launching the third version of PayDay Loan algorithm this week, announced Google’s head of Search Spam, Matt Cutts, at the SMX Advanced 2014 Search Marketing Expo. The algorithm is designed to target “very spammy queries” and will be launched as early as today said Cutts. The version 3.0 of the algorithm has nothing to do with the Panda or Penguin update.

Google launched version 2.0 of PayDay Loan algorithm last month. While version 2.0 targeted spammy sites, the latest version will be targeting spammy queries like “payday loans”, “casinos”, “viagra” and other highly spammy queries. However, it is still unclear what Cutts means when he says spammy sites versus spammy queries.

Yes, I am even wondering what is the difference between spammy sites and spammy queries. I just hope there would be clarification later on. The version 3.0 of the PayDay Loan Algorithm should stir up another buzz just like the version 2.0 and the Panda 4.0 update did last month.

I miss the days when they didn't tell us anything, then at least you
didn't have to worry about something until it happened. Now it's
    non-stop paranoia.
