Google, on one side is in a tussle with the Indian government over data & security concerns and on the other hand has tied up with the Indian tourism ministry.

Tourism ministry has created special Google Plus page and launched the Incredible India contest on its social networking site. The search giant, Google is also helping the ministry in promoting the contest. 

What exactly the contest is? Users will be invited to shoot the pictures that capture the essence of India. The theme of the images could be anything from rituals to culture and places in India. Users will have to upload the images to the Google Plus Page. And the winner will be given one week free vacation to his/her favorite destination in India. Anyone from any part of the world can participate in this contest. 

Participants will have to upload images on the separate landing page created by Google and use hashtag with IncredibleIndia. The top 3 images out of shortlisted 10 with maximum +1s will be announced winners on 27 September at the Delhi Photo Festival.
