Google has come up with a new how-to shop service named Helpouts with Live video sessions to give expert advice on selling everything, be it cosmetics, clothes, or cosmos.
Started on Tuesday, the service offers connections to over 1,000 websites, merchants, instructors, and health care specialists who have all passed through the Google Inc.'s background checks.
The Helpouts sessions are efforts from Google to help people manage their lives. At times, relevant answers aren't being provided by Google because the websites do not have the answer. So, video sessions will fill in the gaps in the Google's search engine.
Initially, Helpouts will connect people with experts from eight different categories, including:
- Art & music
- Computers & electronics
- Fashion & beauty
- Education & career
- Fitness & nutrition
- Home & garden
The expert in each category will set the fees and 20 percent of the revenue will be going to Google. Right now, Mountain View, Calif. isn't charging commission for health advice. Experts can charge on per minute basis or a flat-fee per session. If viewers are not satisfied with the answer, Google will refund the money.
Presently, Helpouts service is only available for Android smartphones. Helpouts is expected to become a new revenue source for Google. Besides, it will also become a valid reason for people to set up their profiles on Google Plus because you need to have a Google Plus account to get advice on Helpouts.Google Launches Live Video Sessions Service; Helpouts!,
