Google has announced the launch of Google Map Maker for India. The Google Map Maker for India has been designed and developed by Indian engineering team of Google. It enables a user to add or edit features, such as roads, businesses, parks, schools, apartment buildings, localities and more. Users now have the ability to add detailed information about their desired locations, via the Google Marker Tools. The user added or generated content is updated and made visible to all other users almost immediately.

Other than India, Google Map Maker is available in 57 countries in Asia, the Island Nations, and the Caribbean.
