Google Maps has updated its iOS version to bring it more in sync with its Android counterpart. The upgraded features include offline maps and navigation, busy store/venue hours and gas prices.
This update helps users locate the gas stations as well as compare prices.
Store traffic hours which was previously available on Android is now on iOS too. It’s the visual data that shows the busiest hours of a venue or business location.
Google Maps users on iOS will now be able to access the maps offline. This was functionality was made available to Android users in November this year.
“Now you can download an area of the world to your phone, and the next time you find there’s no connectivity—whether it’s a country road or an underground parking garage—Google Maps will continue to work seamlessly. Whereas before you could simply view an area of the map offline, now you can get turn-by-turn driving directions, search for specific destinations, and find useful information about places, like hours of operation, contact information or ratings.”
