Google: New Binary or Site Operator Broken?

DaveN reports that Google's site:, link: and other operators are soon to be moved into the Webmaster tools section. Few examples of the site: broken are :

Though, Google claims to have indexed so many pages, the results show only 1-3 pages. This means the site operator is broke. However, Matt Cutts commented, "They were pushing a new binary; the site: command is showing plenty of results for me now."
