Google suggested best practices for bloggers who review free products received from the companies. Bloggers should follow these practice to ensure not being penalized by Google.

  1. Use nofollow tag
Bloggers are suggested to use nofollow tag on company’s site, social media accounts, online merchant page selling the company’s products, mobile app on app store and review page giving reviews of the product.
  2. Disclose the sponsored content
Let the readers know that this is sponsored content and products were given for free to review. In some countries it is legally required.
  3. Write unique and compelling content
“If you're a blogger you might try to become the go-to source of information in your topic area, cover a useful niche that few others are looking at, or provide exclusive content that only you can create due to your unique expertise or resources.” Successful bloggers give readers a reason to return.
