Already have people “Adding” your Business Page to your Circles? Then show off those followers on your website too! Google+ has an interesting badge making tool that is now producing badges too, and not only icons.

According to Google, the Google+ badge is ready to be added to your site, and as soon as people have added  the code, they will be seeing badges on their sites. The badge has both an ‘add to circle’ and a ‘+1′ button, and you can show it off on your website. To create the badge, you need to key in the number of your Google+ page on the tool, and see a preview of the badge, right there!

Google+ Bage Add To Site

Once you get the code you need to install the badge on your site. The badge looks quite familiar to the Facebook Facepile plugin, showing the faces of people who like the page. The “Small Badge” option showa just the Google+ icon along with the Add To Circles button, here it is in the image below.

Using a badge is recommended over an icon, as with an icon the number of subscribers your page has is not updated. Also, with an icon, people will not be able to sign up for your Google+ page without leaving your site.

The Number Of +1s Consolidated!

To avoid confusion, the number of people who have +1ed your page will soon show all the +1s that your site has earned, and not just the number of people that have +1ed your Google+ Page. Google has clarified that the +1es on the badge will be the count of  +1es across your brand whether its your site, Google+ Page and ads, via Social Extensions.

Now visitors on your site will be interested in seeing your Google+ page, as they will be pulled in by the consolidated count of the +1es.

More updates in the Google+ pages for businesses are expected in the near future as Google is working round the clock for improving the Pages experience. Still have not created a Page? See our tutorial here.
