The Google+ mobile website has finally received some enhancements, in terms of looks and functionality.
Google has done some improvements in the Google+ mobile site, which are assumed to be appreciated by users. Let's take a look at the update.
Cards have now been added in the stream with full-bleed photos, share button, and bigger +1. The option of viewing the text in bold and italic is also there. Background of the stream is grey, which goes well with the new look of Google+ for desktop web users.
Profiles have also gone a massive revamp. You will now see a layout matching with the Google+ mobile apps. Three tabs are also provided to switch in-between; About, Posts, and Photos.
Other changes include improvement to photos and search. The site will also use the real estate screen estate on the mobile device to move up/down accordingly. Earlier, the layout was fixed and delivered an unpleasant mobile web experience to users.
The core features present in the desktop web and mobile apps such as Local & Communities have still not been added to the mobile website of Google+.
Google also made a brief announcement about the update in the post:
Posts now appear as “cards” in the stream, making it easier to read, +1 and re-share them.
We've also redesigned the Profile and Page experiences to include cover photos, larger tap targets, and much more.Google+ Mobile Website Gets Better Looks & Functionality!,
