Google has announced the official launch of the Google+1 recommendations across the internet. The new feature in the updates +1 button is that if one hovers a mouse of the button, it will show social recommendations for other content on the same site. The recommendations are designed to be more relevant and on-topic and that is why they will always refer to pages on the same domain or subdomain as the +1 button.

Google also added that there is no need for the developers and web publishers to update their code because all active buttons have been updated automatically. As Google is quoted, “If you’ve already added the +1 button to your site, there’s nothing more you need to do. Recommendations will work across all +1 buttons for all users, whether or not they’re signed into Google+.”

The new functionality saw the light of the day Google I/O and was officially launched on the 9th of this month.
