Local searches carried out in Google would now bring back a more limited local pack.

The local pack of 7 listings of Google has been brought down to to three, whereas phone numbers and addresses have been completely eliminated.

If searchers want to get more details about a business they will not be required to click through to the Google Maps listing or website.

Additionally, links to Google My Business pages have also been removed, meaning Google+ will not be as relevant as it’s been recently.

The searchers, in place of phone numbers and addresses, will now be able to locate store hours more explicitly depicted in the Google local pack, In addition to warnings in case a location is about to be closed soon.

It appears store hours are merely depicted should the website consists of the appropriate markup. Reviews will be on display as they used to be, and it makes no difference how hard you look you are not going to locate a link to Google+ anywhere.

Though this is considered to be a huge reduction of local search listings, searchers will always be able to click to expand the box and view more local listings — nearly 20 per page.

These changes are going to be same throughout desktop and mobile, albeit on mobile the local pack sports in the option to make a call to a business by simply tapping on its listing.

Google has planned to make worldwide release of its new local listings, but at present it is available to see in the US, UK, Europe, Australia, Candada and South Africa.
