Google has announced the expansion of sitelinks to provide a better search experience to the user. This expansion has also taken place in the way these links are organised and presented on the search engine.

This is how the sitelinks looked before the changes:

Sitelinks have come a long way, since their launch in 2006, when they were a simple row of links.

Sitelinks now will be links with the URLs and a snippet, assisting the user to easily find what he is looking for.

Not only this, the sitelinks ranking will be combined with the regular ranking, to provide better quality results and also to reduce link duplication.

These changes will be made globally to all supported languages over the next few days.
