After giving several continuous warnings about Google's plans to act strictly against spamming, the search giant has finally acted against another link network.

Matt Cutts, head of Google's webspam team in his tweets said that Google has acted against "several thousand" link sellers, a part of link network that was involved in buying and selling of links to pass PageRank.

It was on Monday that Matt Cutts hinted about Google's plan to go "upstream" and take strict measures against spammy links in a video.
