Google announced that starting January 2, 2017, it will completely stop running display ads in Flash format on Google Display Network or DoubleClick.
Starting June 30, 2016 advertisers will no longer be able to upload display ads in Flash into AdWords and Doubleclick.
Advertisers are advised to update their ads before these dates. Google aims to “To enhance the browsing experience for more people on more devices". Google further added, “AdWords advertisers who currently use Flash ads in their campaigns have several easy ways to ensure your creative can continue to show on the Google Display Network.”
