You may have already seen the advantage of Google Suggest since its launch last August. Recently, some more improvements were made, to make this tool localized. Google Suggest will now take into account various cultural and local factors while searching for results.
For example, if a user types “Liver†in the U.K. then he will receive a list about Liverpool games whereas if a user in the U.S. types in the same word then he will receive more suggestions about liver diseases.

In India, typing “no†will offer suggestions about mobile phones since the country is known for mobile phone market.

Almost 155 domains in 51 languages are believed to be covered by Google Suggest. So, enjoy the local flavour with Google Suggest wherever you are.

Great, not google suggest will become completely useless. I can understate ads in search results – I’m choosing what I’m clicking on anyway so it’s not a problem. But if “most search terms starting with this letter†become “most search terms starting with this letter and some ads in between†I suddenly don’t see any point in using it.
I think that this is just a natural extension of Google trying to tailor search engine results according to demographic info. For me at least, this seems to be a big consideration for them, and what they’ll base a lot of their future innovations on.
I don't think I've actually used Google suggest. It seems a great tool in theory, but I'm still set in my old ways of just simply hitting the search button without a computer suggesting what I should be putting.
