For me at least, this seems to be a big consideration for them, and what they'll base a lot of their future innovations on. I can understate ads in search results - I’m choosing what I’m clicking on anyway so it’s not a problem. But if “most search terms starting with this letter” become “most search terms starting with this letter and some ads in between” I suddenly don’t see any point in using it.
